Power Rankings: Week 7

Week 7 is in the books, which puts us halfway through the regular season, and this thing is wide open.

I honestly can’t remember a tougher year to rank these teams. Some of the 2-5 and 3-4 squads look classy as hell, while a few rosters with winning records suddenly look shockingly vulnerable.

Buckle up, because the season standings might be lying to you.

1. Kyle (5-2)

Last Week’s Ranking: 1st

This could be it. This could be the year. JSN is putting together a historic season, everyone around him is carrying more than their fair share, and Kyle owns the league’s top point total plus a three-game winning streak. He’s also one of the few managers to Matrix-dodge the injury bug, which has been especially contagious in 2026. Even a Week 7 BYE for Josh Allen and Parker Washington couldn’t slow him down: 120+ points with two studs on the couch. He’s the betting favorite for the ‘ship, and the rest of us are playing for second. How will the fantasy gods cast their judgment on Kyle this time around stay tuned!

2. Chet & Mike (6-1)

Last Week’s Ranking: 5th

Uggggghhhhh damnit. Tony Pollard (Tony P, seriously?) was the top-scoring RB of the week while sitting on the bench, and it didn’t even matter. The usual suspects keep doing usual-suspect things, and Trey McBride has been a quiet monster all season long. Coker is dinged up again, but this lineup has survived the injury pandemic better than most. It pains me to type this, but the Skyline “Has Beens” have rattled off six straight victories and appear to be playoff-bound. I love you both, and I’d do just about anything for you in real life. But let the record show that I’m actively rooting against you when it comes to fantasy football. It’s nothing personal, I just can’t have you claim ring #3 before me.

3. Cole (4-3)

Last Week’s Ranking: 3rd

Happy early birthday, fella! Think you’ll try to get your drivers permit right away? Este güey! Caleb is back from his booboo and looked 100% healthy, which is great news for everyone except Cole’s opponents. Malik Nabers has posted 100+ yards in each of the past four weeks, so the ACL recovery is officially in the rearview. And Tre Tucker is a top-20 WR on the year? We all saw that coming, obviously. Gibbs, Jefferson, and Likely all had down weeks, so flush Week 7 and move on. There are better weeks ahead.

4. Devon (4-3)

Last Week’s Ranking: 2nd

Consecutive L’s has Devon doing the Arthur fist, but hope is far from lost. Luther Burden accounted for a third of Devon’s points in Week 7, and he was the only player in double digits. Ruh-roh, raggy! Cook and Diggs on BYE, plus injuries to Mike Evans and Devonta Smith, left this lineup looking like a skeleton crew. Getting those four back should restore the upside in a hurry. A big time matchup against the #2 ranked team awaits on Sunday.

5. Austin (3-4)

Last Week’s Ranking: 8th

The lineup is looking deadlier which each passing day, but it wasn’t quite enough. Posting 120 earns you a W nine times out of ten, but George Pickens had other plans during MNF. But hey - Rhamondre is the least sexy RB2 in football, D’Andre Swift is as steady as the day is long, Puka looks like the best WR in football not named JSN, and Jameson Williams has come on strong after a brutal start.. AJ Brown may still be nursing that ankle, though when he gets going Austin should keep climbing. We should all be grateful Stain is sub .500 at the halfway mark, because he’s back to full health and poised for a deep playoff run.

6. Case (3-4)

Last Week’s Ranking: 7th

What a frustrating season it’s been for the GLOAT string bean, because the record does not reflect the upside. KC Concepcion had himself a week - is there anyone easier to root for than Cleveland’s first-round pick? Such a cool story. McCaffrey dodged serious injury, and Ken Walker finally had a down week. CMC now enters his Week 8 BYE, which is great for his health, but his absence leaves a gaping hole on a roster devoid of depth. 3-5 isn’t exactly a disaster, but it would make for a pressure-packed second half. Time to mount up!

7. Ryan (3-4)

Last Week’s Ranking: 10th

It wasn’t a great week, but it only matters if you score more than your opponent! Ryan deserves an ovation for keeping this team afloat after losing Breece and Crashee for a few weeks, and Achane for the season. Buying Javonte was a prudent move, and the Emmanuel Wilson pickup was a clutch stopgap for an injury-riddled lineup. Not to mention, Josh Jacobs’ return went about as well as anyone could have imagined, and Jordan Tyson is inching closer and closer to his debut. At full health, you can’t tell me this team doesn’t have playoff upside.

8. Hank (2-5)

Last Week’s Ranking: 12th

Call off the funeral, Hank ain’t dead yet! Loveland is FINALLY living up to expectations, and the Bucky-Jeanty duo has been steady eddy. Saquon’s return was a sight for sore eyes, but a tweaked hammy and a stiff back could put more time at risk. LAME. The WRs all had down weeks, but Boston, Watson, and McMillan? You could do much worse. Up next is a huge matchup with another 2-5 team: the winner stays alive and the loser goes on life support.

9. Pete (2-5)

Last Week’s Ranking: 9th

Ah-ah-ah-ah, staying alive, staying alive. I’m calling this the win of the week, as a loss would have torpedoed the season. Instead Tee Higgins, Drake London, and Omar Cooper Jr. put the team on their backs - those three alone nearly beat Pete’s Week 7 opponent. The win came with Lamar Jackson and Jeremiyah Love both sidelined, which makes it even more impressive. Pete vs. Austin in Week 8 feels electric, and if I were calling the shots I’d flex it to Sunday Night Football. Box office, baby.

10. Bacich & Reese (2-5)

Last Week’s Ranking: 11th

We teased these two for dropping 95 FAAB on Ollie Gordon, but who’s laughing now? All he’s done is average 15+ PPG since taking over the Miami backfield. He’s the bonafide waiver wire pickup of the year. Zay Flowers is an under-appreciated stud WR1, and these Jonathan Taylor trade rumors must be giving Bacich wet dreams. Pop quiz! Reese - who is Jonathan Taylor? No Claude allowed. There’s still a serious depth issue at WR, but DJ Moore’s eventual return should stop some of the bleeding. Jordan Mason’s return hinders Aaron Jones, Breece’s return will likely nerf Allen, and Hampton remains helpless - so there’s still work to be done.

11. Brad (3-4)

Last Week’s Ranking: 6th

Please don’t be mad at me, Brad. Sam, I hope you don’t think less of me either. Three straight losses and three straight sub-100 performances left me no choice. Chase Brown is giving Omarion Hampton a run for his money in the 2nd-round letdown department, and Brock finally came back down to earth in what felt like an obvious trap game for the Niners. Until Ladd McConkey and Emeka Egbuka return, Brad is stuck rolling out the likes of Brandin Cooks and Tyler Allgeier. The Motavators await in Week 8 - no pressure.

12. Tom (5-2)

Last Week’s Ranking: 4th

Things I hate: hard boiled eggs, loud chewing, flight delays, when the gas nozzle thingy keeps clicking off no matter how hard you try, and this roster. This team f*cking sucks. Kyren Williams, George Kittle, and Amon-Ra are the only reasons it’s halfway respectable. Everyone else? Gross. With Jayden Daniels on BYE and four players on IR, there wasn’t a single point scored on the bench last week. “No depth” isn’t even an exaggeration anymore, it’s a reality. Davante is likely done for the fantasy regular season (if not longer), so my only hope is for Ferguson, Pierce, or Price to return from injury and restore their preseason hype. I’m preparing a will for my next of kin.
