Power Rankings: Week 2
We’re two weeks in and the power rankings are already shuffling like a deck of cards, which is exactly how we like it. We've got teams rocketing up the board, others cratering just as fast, and almost nobody sitting where they were a week ago.
Buckle up, because Week 3 is here!
1. Brad (2-0)
Last Week's Ranking: 3rd
What championship hangover? Brock Purdy is Mr. Relevant, Chuba Hubbard has staged a full coup of the Carolina backfield, while TreyVeon Henderson cashed in on Rhamondre’s fumble to remind everyone he can be more than just a sexy FLEXy. This roster is trending toward a playoff bid with zero drama. The only thing standing between Brad and another deep run right now is a lack of upside at TE — everything else on this roster is humming. See below for your next opponent, in what will be the battle for the top rank in Week 3!
2. Devon (2-0)
Last Week's Ranking: 4th
Devon is back in business, and business is booming. The James Cook/Derrick Henry combo feels illegal in a 12-team league, and Stefon Diggs quietly playing 6th man off the bench is so sneaky. Losing Jaxson Dart stings, sure, but crying about your backup QB being Patrick Mahomes is a champagne problem. Devon's balance and depth is the envy of the league right now. Keep an eye on the Travis Etienne workload though — Alvin Kamara resurfacing for 14 touches is the kind of thing that turns a strength into a headache fast.
3. Kyle (1-1)
Last Week's Ranking: 5th
If not for a heartwrenching Week 1 loss, Kyle would be sitting comfortably atop the rankings. The starting lineup? No notes. Josh Allen is playing like a cheat code, we know what JSN can do, and Parker Washington is establishing himself as a star down in Jacksonville. Just wait for George Pickens to pop off — which should be a terrifying thought for the rest of us. Zero injuries to report, which is key, because if there’s one blemish on the roster, it’s a lack of serviceable depth pieces.
4. Case (1-1)
Last Week's Ranking: 2nd
Tough week, sure, but no need to cry over spilled milk when Kenneth Walker is doing his best Shaun Alexander impression. The Christian Watson/Garrett Wilson/Jaylen Waddle trio is a thing of beauty, and now Josh Downs gets a bump in target share with Alec Pierce banged up. There are no glaring holes on this roster, which is either impressive or deeply annoying depending on who you ask. Health may be the only thing standing between Case and a deep playoff run. But if the rest of us have injury issues, then Case will be in luck, because the man is also collecting RB handcuffs like their Pokemon cards.
5. Cole (1-1)
Last Week's Ranking: 1st
From 170 points in Week 1 to a measly 62 in Week 2 — someone check on Cole, because that's a big fall from grace that I certainly didn’t see coming. Jahmyr Gibbs was the only shining light, quietly stacking 100+ scrimmage yards and a receiving score in his sleep. Losing Caleb Williams for a stretch creates a real QB void (can Bryce stay in the flames?), and it likely drags Rome Odunze's already-shaky production down further. Add in Woody Marks cutting into David Montgomery's touches and Malik Nabers unplugging his shoulder, and this once-dominant roster suddenly has a few question marks.
6. Ryan (1-1)
Last Week's Ranking: 9th
Not exactly a highlight reel of a week, but a win is a win, and I remain cautiously bullish on this roster despite the pedestrian output. Dalton Kincaid continues to look like one of the steals of the entire draft class, already north of 200 receiving yards through two weeks. If Josh Jacobs can get back on the field and Ryan can hold serve around .500, this team has real sneaky-good potential. Carnell Tate is the wildcard here — get him going and Ryan starts looking a lot more dangerous. Speaking of dangerous, what’s the latest on Josh Jacobs?
7. Chet & Mike (1-1)
Last Week's Ranking: 12th
Called it — Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase combined for 40 and did exactly what everyone expected them to do. Big Dome Olave is the WR4 right now, and Trey McBride is averaging 12 targets a game in the desert, numbers most WR1s would kill for. We can’t overlook Jalen Coker, who is looking like a gem in that revamped Carolina offense after back-to-back solid weeks. Maybe last week's ranking was harsh — this squad is clearly better than the record suggests. But I’ll eat my hat if these two win their third ring with that RB duo.
8. Austin (1-1)
Last Week's Ranking: 7th
Dak Prescott was the only bright spot in an otherwise forgettable week for the newlywed. This is the hardest team in the league to rank, because we still haven't seen the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round picks share the field — and with A.J. Brown on IR and Puka Nacua's hip/groin situation lingering, that reunion is still a ways away. Simple math here: if Stainer wants to win, those guys need to actually play. Until then, we're all just guessing, and Austin is praying.
9. Bacich & Reese (0-2)
Last Week's Ranking: 6th
Omarion Hampton and Jonathan Taylor combined for 3 touchdowns, and the ageless wonder Aaron Jones somehow posted the highest running back market share in the league — so this week was better than the 0-2 record suggests. Zay Flowers sat out with a hamstring issue and DJ Moore left early with a shoulder sprain, but both look like they have a real shot at returning soon. This is a "things look worse than they are" situation more than a genuine crisis. Turn the injuries around and this team is poised to turn things around.
10. Tom (2-0)
Last Week's Ranking: 8th
Undefeated, with a finger hovering over the big red panic button. Let’s start with the good. Davante Adams and Amon-Ra St. Brown reminded the league why they're two of the best receivers of the past decade, combining for over 300 yards, 4 touchdowns, and 66 fantasy points in Week 2. George Kittle is also inching closer to full health despite a modest snap share. The bad? This roster has more bandages than the first aid kit in the back of your mom’s car — Jayden Daniels is out long-term with another elbow dislocation, Alec Pierce re-aggravated his heel, Jadarian Price banged up his chest, Caleb Douglas rolled an ankle, and both RJ Harvey and Nico Collins missed Week 2 with hamstring issues. This is the weirdest team in the league — and some tough roster calls have to be made if the injuries keep piling up.
11. Pete (0-2)
Last Week's Ranking: 10th
Travis Kelce found the fountain of youth in Week 2, going for 9 catches, 101 yards, and a touchdown like it's 2021 again. This is another team that’s yet to top 100 points in either week, but I'm not freaking just yet. Who would've thought Michael Penix's Week 3 return would become the key to Pete's whole season? If he can unlock Bijan Robinson and Drake London, this team will get into the win column in a hurry. Lamar Jackson, Tee Higgins, and Jeremiyah Love are all due for better weeks, and a statement win over Case could flip the narrative fast.
12. Henry (0-2)
Last Week's Ranking: 11th
It’s been a really tough start. Back-to-back weeks under 100 points is not the formula for success. Colston Loveland is running away with the Fantasy Bust of the Year race, and the Chargers offense looks completely broken with Justin Herbert at the helm. But hey, you will never go broke with CMC, and Bucky Irving has firmly claimed the lead role in Tampa Bay's backfield. Denzel Boston has forced his way into Henry’s starting lineup given how thin things are at the position. A win over Chet & Mike in Week 3 is a must, because 0-3 is a genuinely scary hole to be staring at.
